    OK so I have been PATIENT.... 12/25 No free Gifts.... 12/26 Still No Free Gifts....

    I also don't get all my free gifts, so far i got 5 from the first that where send. Sio it can't be totally true, havin first 10 and then 5 a day

    I can't send out requests for gifts as of the last two days...says I already requested 24 gifts that day. Also, have not been able to open a gift yet. Zynga is screwing us again!

    i am yet to get any of the free gifts , plus also (with a lot of people having same trouble) cannot ask for gifts or send gifts... even when i do get 10 gifts no free gift

    I am in the same boat - I opened 1 gift and since then - nothing - cant recieve or get or open crates - gifts are not registering - always reads - 0 of 10!!!! - cant request - not 2 happy with this....others are having a great time and Id like to join them!!!!

    Just send a gift request to all your active Mafia Wars buddies. Me, I received 50 gifts from my mafia family and just waiting to open them on the schedules stated above. I openned myself 10 free gifts on the first day (25th December) and 5 more today, and will opening 5 more later at exactly 12am PST. Just recruit more on your family to get more free gifts and make sure that they are active players.... you cannot get more gifts with less member on your MW family you morons..... be fair enough to both Facebook and Zynga..... Are you not happy enough that you can play for free? Besides, sometimes, you need to use some of your brains to analyze things before cursing hell to anybody. I got 7 MW accounts and all of them received 50 gifts, because I am using a little of my brain..... :)

    I have no problem with gifts. has received over 30 gift and mastery gift. try using a different browser. not firefox. I use Google chrome and Mafia wars run better

    Another Mafia wars screw up. I can send the gifts out and have received about 50 and not one has shown up. The only one I opened was the free one.

    I openned my free gifts, not a problem, still have 2 to open though but will be doing that tonight, however, I'm wondering if the opened gifts appear on your MW account as I havent seen any appear there yet, although I realise it may take abit of time to do so, but how long do we need to wait as I have openned 30 thus far.

    I got no special gifts to open during this entire special - plus half the gifts my mafia sent to me, i was told i had 'no valid gift' from that person. Thanks zynga - it was real nice seeing everyone else get to play.

    Hmm I'm not cursing anyone, but wondering if something is wrong w/ my account? Have large active mafia but having trouble sending gifts. And as of today although many said they have sent me gifts only 1 in safe house :(

    Have not been able to recieve or send gifts, I know a LOT of people having the same problem. Now I am just ignoring the vault totally. Tired of it. Every time they change stuff, it screws up!!!

    I am receiving gift requests. I did not get any gifts in my safe house for two days. I checked with several of my mafia if they responded to the gift request. They said they had immediately responded but I had not received them in my safe house. I sent issue to zynga support after that confirmation. I started getting gifts slowly today. Since you only get a chance to respond a get a gift in return of exp or energy, then maybe others on the other end are responding slowly, too. To put the odds in my favor, I am now only sending gift request to those who have sent me gift request so I know they are playing or figured out how to play this event. I too am getting the did not get a gift request message even tho I have just clicked on the send gift button. I agree things are not working for everyone. I see a lot of great free gifts others are getting and I want in on the fun.

    just get a apple mac you will have no probs, or use google chrome on a pc, you will have no problems

    I'm confused by the whole thing. I send out gift requests, I get gifts, I send gifts. I have no idea how to get those 'garage doors' to open up. I was able to open the first one, but nothing since. I do find it frustrating that we are limited to 24 req. per day. I was trying to be nice and send to all my mafia, but maybe not anymore. I think I'll just send gifts to those I receive from also.

    Well, at least I am not alone. I tried only sending to those that asked me for gifts --- didn't work. Never got gift one. Haven't seen any requests come thru today - is it over?

    I am so glad it is not just me.. i also feel that the time zone for opening gifts is unfair to the UK....
    i have only ever got the first one... the rest are coming up invalid or no requests
